South Carolina MMA - SC Mixed Martial Arts and Cage Fighting!

Brass Monkey MMA Promotions is helping to bring mixed martial arts (MMA) to the Palmetto state!  We're not out there to compete with the UFC, we're not trying to fill 6000 seat stadiums, this organization was founded with one mission in mind, we want to give the local underdogs a path to the pros. We are producing MMA shows and promoting local fighters in medium sized venues (600-1000 seat shows.) We want to help you guys build up your fight cards, get sponsors, find training partners, and make that step (if you want it) into the professional Mixed Martial Arts circuit. Our mission statement is simple, "we want to be to the UFC what NCAA is to the NFL." If you guys (the MMA fighters, Jiu-Jitsu trainers, coaches and local gyms)  are successful, we will consider ourselves successful as well.

Brass Monkey MMA Promotions is in the process of scheduling our first MMA show in June, and let me tell you guys something, it has been one hell of a long 3 months. Our first Columbia, South Carolina MMA fight card is an 8 fight ProAm MMA ticket. Thanks to my good friend Don Looney at Jaderloon Greenhouses in Irmo, SC, we're about 75% complete on building the first of our two portable, freestanding MMA fighting platform systems, we've sat before the SC State Athletics Commission and were awarded our promoters licenses. We're now santioned members of the ISKA and we have a group of trained monkeys working on the website (well, that's a lie, we have one fat white dude) and we're matchmaking for the card. We're working our asses off to make this happen guys, come support us!

And for the rest of ya's,  I know we're still working on a lot of the functionality, but keep checking the website. This is the first place where we'll let you all know the when's and the where's on the first MMA cage fight. You guys will be able to view fighter profiles, look up gym and trainer profiles, find sponsors, and see what's happening in MMA around the State of South Carolina. We're really busting our asses to make sure it's going to be a lot of GREAT nights of entertainment for the MMA fans in the Midlands of SC!

Our first MMA cage fight will kick off  at 7:00pm, but we invite you to come an hour or so early to watch the free clinics brought to you by our friends at Stronghold MMA , Gracie Barra Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu & Palmetto Judo and Jujitsu, all three of which are located in the Midlands of Suth Carolina. These  three scheduled MMA preshow clinics will cover Muay Thai standup MMA techniques, Judo MMA takedowns and some of the most popular Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu groundwork submissions. These are same techniques that you'll probably see in the MMA fights!

Tickets for all the MMA cage fight will be available at a 5% discount online through the Brass Monkey MMA promotions website, or if you are a procrastinator, they can be purchased at the door at the time of the MMA show.
